Nick Morfett (born 3 June 1994) is a Guernsey born Canadian football and basketball player who currently plays as a goalkeeper for Guernsey United F.C. and a Point Guard for Guernsey United Basketball, which he is Club-Captain and Assistant Coach. He also currently plays for the Guernsey Special Olympics football team. Morfett was born in Guernsey, in the Channel Islands but has Cypriot nationality through family. Morfett can also play as a forward or a defender aswell as playing his normal goalkeeper role. He is also related to former Aresenal and England defender and Captain, Kenny Sansom.

Early Career

Nick played his first football match for his school team Le Murier. In 2009 he started playing for local club side Rovers AC as third-choice goalkeeper. He made his debut in a 5-0 win over Rangers after coming on in the 76 minute. Morfett made his first full match debut in December 2009 in 4-2 loss to Vale Recreation but not before pulling off some good saves to keep Rec out.
Present Career

After playing for Rovers for a season Morfett had a string of injuries that forced him to stop playing, the worst being an ankle injury that never healed. Nick continued playing football at college but not for a club. On the 28/June/2012 Mista signed with D.C. United. After the clubs first game the Guernsey FA closed the club down. As of 16/Febuary/2013, Mista signed with Guernsey United F.C..
International Career

Morfett can take Canadian and Cypriot nationality through having family in Canada and his mother being from Cyprus which makes him elegible to play for Canada and Cyprus in international football. He has not played for the Guernsey National Football Team, but does play for the Guernsey Special Olympics football team which he used to be first-choice golakeeper and Captain, but was relieved of his captaincy and put in the B-Team after some team complications. Nick is also elegible to play for any of the Home Nation football teams as he was born in Guernsey, he is allowed to play for the Ynys Môn football team who represent Anglesey in Wales, or FIFA members Wales national football team through family. Morfett is a supporter of the Canada men's national soccer team, Cyprus national football team, Bosnia and Herzegovina National Football Team and the Northern Ireland national football team.

Morfett supports Arsenal and his great uncle, Kenny Sansom played for them during the 1980's. Nick also supports Toronto FC, which is a Canadian football team in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Morfett is engaged to Guernsey born Summer Le Maitre, a Beauty therapist who is training to be a Midwifery Nurse.

Morfett was born in Guernsey and was born to an English dad and a Cypriot mum and is from Canadian-Cypriot decent. He therefor can represent any of the following countries: Cyprus, North Cyprus, Turkey, Canada, United States, Australia, Netherlands or any of the Home Nations, including England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.
