Refereeing careerEdit

Robert began refereeing in 2002 and having progressed through the West Yorkshire League and Contributory League System, was promoted to Panel Referee in 2008. He spent a season as a Premier League Assistant Referee before being promoted to the Football League Referee List in 2010. He was also one of the Assistant Referee's for the Sunderland vs Liverpool beach ball incident. However he was not the Assistant who gave the goal.

Football LeagueEdit

Robert spent his first season as a Football League Referee for season 2010-2011. He refereed 25 games, with a low card count showing 50 yellow cards (ave 2.0 per game) and 5 red cards (ave 0.2 per game).

International refereeing careerEdit

In 2012 Robert was added to the FIFA list of 5th officials (behind the goal) but is still awaiting a call up onto the international stage.
